This morning was Landon's 1 year well baby. While I am excited about this milestone, I am savoring little moments of my cuddle-bug still being there - a baby... That it is still easier for him to rolly polly around sometimes instead of sit up and zip away. That onesies are still the norm. That he has more gaps than teeth. That he ga-gas and ma-mas and and we get excited at signs (milk, more, and all gone). That he has white tan lines where the sun never reaches the depths of his olive skin fat rolls. And his giggle is still for sure a baby giggle. I can bury my face in those fat rolls and make it happen any time I want.
But dang, that baby is 29lbs! When we weighed him today I was actually a bit surprised - I thought for sure he was heavier. He is 31.5 inches long.
So of course I am curious about comparing to Cameron. At 13 months, Cameron was 24lbs 7oz, and was 32.5 inches. So a full inch taller, and 5lbs lighter! I kept digging, and at his 2year checkup, he had grown 4 more inches but was still only 28lbs!!! So yeah, Cameron is trending towards Daddy (tall and skinny) and Landon is looking like a McKenzie (not so tall and not so skinny).

And our tie breaker??? I need some cute little pink bow images here! This afternoon Warren and I both went to the OB for our 3rd trimester ultrasound. Little girl Cliff is doing great! She weighs about 3lbs. 7oz. which apparantly is a just tad above average. Average birth weight being 7lbs, and both boys were 9lbs, so a tad above is just fine by me.
We got kind of a good look at her face, which maybe you can pick out from the above photo. I am thinking she might look more like Landon. In the photo, you see sort of her profile - she is looking to the right side of the photo. Those bones belong to her arm from elbow to wrist. Everything else looks good - she is "in position" and just needs to cook for 8 more weeks. Which is crazy. So soon! But exciting. We can't wait to meet her.
