Zoo Trip

Last week we ventured out to the Houston Zoo! I was nervous going that far with all three by myself, but as usual, friends came to the rescue! We had so much fun, and will try it again very soon. I am gaining more and more confidence in leaving home alone with them.

One other neat thing about this trip is that Cameron remembered a lot of things that happened, and could tell Warren when he got home from work. He especially remembered the elephants. One of them was banging on a door with his trunk. Watching an elephant bang on a door with his trunk is very impressive. And loud. Therefore impressive.

Looks like Tyler wants to join the giraffes!
He might be tall enough...

Nope, not quite!

I wish I got a better shot of this cheetah. He was so amazing. He walked right up to the fence and just stared at us!!! I lived in South Africa for a year, and seeing the cheetah at Kruger National Park was one of the most incredible experiences there, too.

Da boys!!

Jacqueline was napping, so missed the train ride. But Dylan, Tyler, Cameron, Landon, and Adam had fun! Mommies Jen and Amber did, too! (Thanks for taking my boys. :) )

Fire Station and Miss September

On Monday the Mom's group from my church took a Fire Station field trip. I was a little intimidated, because I'm still not 100% comfortable alone with 3 kids in public. I have learned some tricks, and three is *manageable*. Just. Thank you to all the friends that helped out and held Jacqueline every now and then!

Even the firemen think Landon is a cutie!

I mean, really, can you blame them?!!?

All the trucks a stage.

J was there too! But this is her trying on her new hat.

Playdate Paparazzi

A while back one of my friends came over with her kids, and we let them use the camera. I don't know that these shots would get much $$$, but to Kristi and I they are priceless!

Plant-tastic

My goal for Cameron's favor was something that hopefully maybe would not get thrown away. His party was at the Arboretum, but we couldn't give away trees, so we did green bean plants! We started on them about a month ago, to time their growth. We wanted to be able to give them away right as they were germinating...I think we did okay! I thought they would mostly be poking out by Day 8 or 9. This is our test round:

Okay, so even though I am kind of a neat freak I also LOVE yardwork and being outside and dirt of the earth sort. And so do my kids! They might change their minds when they have to pull weeds all day. Or pick up rocks all weekend. But they'll get over it. I should know.

They love this!

Cameron planting the bean seeds. He kept calling these Wall-E plants. Fine by me - that is probably my favorite Disney movie!!! ((Don't litter, think for yourself, enjoy life and love your friends!))
~~~~~~
This is what most of the plants looked like as favors...give them some time!
These guys are about 3 weeks old.
Every one of them did very well with just a little bit of water and a lot of warm sunshine! It snowed outside, but we kept them nice and warm on the desk by the window. Since then, they haven't grown much taller, but they have many more leaves. We should really get them transplanted into the garden now. Oh, wait, we don't have a garden...YET! ;)
