Just in case I thought taking cute bluebonnet pictures with 3 kids wouldn't be enough of a challenge, we had much more in store for us this year! First of all, finding a decent field of flowers was not easy... My friend
Shannon and I drove out with our kids to the spot that worked for us last year, but this year there were NO flowers. Weird, right? There were generally few flowers everywhere. But we drove around a bit, and saw this field...behind some heavily barbed wires.

BUT, right next to the threatening fence was a little shack that had a cute sign: "Barbara's Hair Salon". Promising. SO, I walked on up to the main house and rang Barbara's door and asked permission to sneak into her field. She was super nice! And I think pleased to have her door rung. She showed us where the gate was, and told me her dog was very friendly. She did not, however, warn us about the horse.

He was as friendly as Barbara, especially if you consider poop a gift. Landon stepped right into a very warm, fresh batch. Wearing crocs. So at least they have been easy to clean. But it must have been very unpleasant to walk around in that ooze. Good thing it wasn't Cameron who stepped in it!!! The trip would have been O. VER.

Landon way out in a field. Not sure why he is sitting - we didn't pose him. Cute!

This is Katie! I love this photo of her. Poor thing got nabbed by the barb on our way out. Heal quickly!!! They are going to South Padre this weekend, and sunscreen with sand doesn't mix well with scratches.

My happy girl. Heart.

The Cliffs 3! The Texas countryside is no match for us!

Happy boys!
(Sorry, Barbara, for the amount of bluebonnets that were picked!)
